We do love a tree stump. This is a bit of an upgrade on a traditional Yule Log.
I had wanted to do a Julia Donaldson cake for a while when this order arrived on my desk. Just the best fun.

Obviously Christmas is a hugely important time of year in the cake calender. We start getting ideas together around September, which is the same month we make our fruit cakes and start feeding them.
Told you we love a tree stump. This creation was driven all the way to Northumberland.

Where ever you find waves you usually find VW campers. No shortage of them in this part of the world. 
Thomas is always a firm favorite.

Flavours
Chocolate
Well chocolate doesn't really cover it. You think of a chocolate cake and basic comes to mind. Think on.
This is a cake where a fork is a requirement. Using a ridiculous amount of high quality chocolate and filled with a creamy smooth chocolate ganache. The kicker? ..... a thin layer of homemade salted caramel. No ordinary chocolate cake! |
Victoria
The ultimate classic. Light fluffy layers of delicate sponge filled with a Madagascan butter cream and homemade strawberry jam.
An all round favorite that won't disappoint. |
St Clements
Light and summery. Will brighten the darkest day.
Lemon sponge lifted with a lemon syrup and filled with delicate mandarin buttercream and a hint of marmalade. |
Coffee & Walnut
Mums choice -
Can't fail (unless you don't like coffee and nuts) chopped walnuts scattered through and delicious coffee sponge filled with a latte buttercream. |
